Bowling Green

   “We’re gonna push things.”
   “Push things?”
   “Push them over the edge.”
   “A terrorist act?”
“When the Free French derailed a Nazi train, was that a terrorist act?”
“That would have been a no-brainer if you were a Nazi. The Nazis would have wiped out the closest village. If you commit a terrorist act, you risk a nasty response: a state of emergency, a shut down of the internet, free speech, the right to assemble, mass round ups, just what they’ve been waiting for.”
“They’re getting impatient. They’re not gonna wait much longer before they do it themselves. If they fake a terrorist act, they might get the country behind them and they would be in control but if a certain kind of act were committed, maybe the ones committing it might have a chance to feed the narrative. Bonnie and Clyde robbed banks and a lot of the country was behind them.”
   “You’re going to rob banks?”
   “We’re gonna decapitate a banker.”
“You’ll never get away with it.”
“Even if we don’t, the message will still get out there and the more outrageous the plan, the farther it will travel.”
“Decapitating a banker is about outrageous as you can get.”
"The details could spice things up.”
   “Details?”
“His head could appear on a pike.”
“Holy shit! A pike? Where? Zuccotti Park?”
“Bowling Green park and the pike would be one of the horns of the Wall Street Bull.”

"What would we do with the body?"
"Throw it in the street for the whole world to piss on."
