How did it happen?
How did the life of a great revolutionary who championed the poor, preached empathy, caring and forgiveness, who ransacked the money lenders in the temple,
how did his life come to represent sacrifice and death?
How did the life of a great revolutionary who championed the poor, preached empathy, caring and forgiveness, who ransacked the money lenders in the temple,
how did his life come to represent sacrifice and death?
Why, rather than celebrate his life and his teachings as an inspiration
to fight and defeat those who oppress us, do we thank him for dying for our
sins?
What sins?
What fucking sins?
Why is this revolutionary not an inspiration of liberation,
but a symbol of resignation and defeat,
but a symbol of resignation and defeat,
a deification of oppression?
Why, instead of strapping his cross on our pitchforks and
pikes do we wear it around our necks and fall to our knees?
The poor and the oppressed of all nations and races worship
him as a humiliated and murdered one of their own.
They sing in joy that if the only son of God can be oppressed, tortured and murdered as they are oppressed, tortured and murdered,
then in their subjugation and torture and murder,
they are one with the son of God.
What horse shit.
They sing in joy that if the only son of God can be oppressed, tortured and murdered as they are oppressed, tortured and murdered,
then in their subjugation and torture and murder,
they are one with the son of God.
What horse shit.
This has got to be the biggest scam any religion, any
government, any overlord has ever dreamed of.
And it has gone on for millennia.
The survivors of the First Nations genocide in the new world
fall to their knees.
The descendents of slaves fall to their knees.
The poor and the hungry and the powerless of the world have
drunk the kool aid of this heinous scheme and fall to their knees,
century after century.
What would this decent and caring man who committed his
life to the betterment of his fellow men have thought as he twisted on the cross
in agony praying for the centurion to end his suffering with a spear,
what would he have thought if he knew that his life, his legacy would be transformed into an acceptance by the people he fought for,
of everything he fought against?
And that the symbol of his struggle was not his empty tomb opened to the heavens,
not his peaceful smile,
not his welcoming arms and open hands,
but the image of his dead body
hanging on a despicable instrument of torture,
what would he have thought if he knew that his life, his legacy would be transformed into an acceptance by the people he fought for,
of everything he fought against?
And that the symbol of his struggle was not his empty tomb opened to the heavens,
not his peaceful smile,
not his welcoming arms and open hands,
but the image of his dead body
hanging on a despicable instrument of torture,
hanging around his people's necks,
as they hang their heads,
and fall to their knees?
and fall to their knees?
The much anticipated treatise on the origins of Christianity from the renowned historical scholar, Buck has arrived.
There Are Negotiations Being Made
Once upon a time,
Magic Sky Grampa came down to earth and diddled a virgin,
who bore him a hippie,
who along with twelve other hippies wandered the country,
preaching peace and love,
until the government tortured him to death,
whereupon the twelve surviving hippies formed an anti-government organization in his name,
that offered the world a deal it couldn’t refuse,
a piece of what they call peace,
a kind of love that they call love,
of who and only who they say,
in the way and the only way they say,
a worship of and obedience to,
Magic Sky Grampa and his hippie son,
that involves seven foot drag queens,
implicit cannibalism,
and initiation badges representing the instrument of torture,
the hippie was nailed to,
nails he hung from in agony,
before being entombed,
then rising like a zombie after your brains,
to a place they call heaven,
a heaven that,
if you are a good little zombie,
who lives a brainless life,
you just might end up in,
a heaven where you won't burn in agony for eternity,
a heaven where you can park your ass on a cloud
and play a harp
for eternity.
Blood is a big expense.
The Definition Of Hell
Hell is not the burning of our bodies for eternity.
Hell is the burning of our minds.
Damnation is the ability of our minds to ask
why
and not being able to answer.
Ignorance is peace and
ignorance
is what the majority of religion is based on.
Faith demands unquestioning acceptance of
someone else's answers,
and not having to ask why.
Heaven is the ignorance of a closed mind
Hell is the awareness of the beauty of the world
